Body Champ BRM2720 Magnetic Cardio Dual Trainer Review
The Body Champ BRM2720 is a dual trainer, meaning that it can be used as both an elliptical or exercise bike (also check out the Body Rider BRD2000). While this is beneficial for the obvious reason that you can work out your whole body, it’s also nice to be able to mix up your workout, as doing the same repetitive movement can soon get boring.
There are 8 magnetic resistance levels to choose from, adjustable via an easy to turn tension knob. Level 1 takes things nice and easy and is ideal for warming up, whereas level 8 is likely to really push you. Therefore, both in shape and out of shape individuals can find a level that is right for them.
There are also a decent range of built-in workout programs at your disposal, including Body Shaping, Total Body Workout, Low Impact Cardiovascular Fitness, Toning, and Cardiovascular Fitness. Again, those with different fitness goals are able to find a program that will work for them.
Even though the Body Champ BRM2720 is inexpensive it still provides you with a good range of feedback during your workout, including time, distance, speed and calories burned. Best of all, your pulse is recorded as well, via the heart rate sensors located in the hand grips – just place your hands on the grips as you exercise to obtain a reading.
The BRM2720 is quite comfortable to use. The seat is well-padded so not to hurt your behind when exercising, and is also adjustable to cater to users of all heights. The stride motion is smooth and mimics your natural walking and jogging motion fairly accurately. You should also note that the machine’s maximum weight capacity is 250 pounds.
A workout DVD, which is surprisingly informative and effective, also comes with the dual trainer, and the machine is backed by a 1-year warranty.
