Pros
Inexpensive – The inexpensiveness of Body Max’s machines really is their strong point. To put it simply, if you’re on a budget and simply want an elliptical to be able to work out in the comfort of your own home, then no company quite delivers like Body Max.
Workout Programs – It’s quite surprising to find that Body Max actually fit their machines with a good number of built-in workout programs. It’s not uncommon to find their models coming with 5+ programs.
Comfort – This is another area where Body Max’s ellipticals surprise us. Sure, your workout won’t be quite as comfortable as Precor’s or Livestrong’s $1,500+ models, but for the price there is little to complain about. Most probably because Body Max got the fundamentals right, such as a well-padded seat.
Cons
Warranty – As Body Max’s ellipticals are so low priced it’s only logical for the company to offer 1-2 year warranties. However, not all is lost as you can usually pick up an extended warranty quite cheaply these days, just in case anything does happen to go wrong with your machine.
Short Stride – Long, variable strides are typically reserved for $1,000+ ellipticals, which is why if you’re over 6 foot you may have to look at another brand. This is because you’re workout won’t be as comfortable as it would be if you were shorter – you will likely feel confined as you exercise instead.
