Confidence Power Plus Motorized Electric Treadmill
The Confidence GTR Power Pro Motorized Electric Treadmill (1100W) is a budget treadmill that is designed for people who are looking for a light use treadmill. This treadmill comes with a 1.5HP motor, which is smaller than the standard 2.5 HP motors that come on most budget treadmills. This treadmill is is best used for walking to get fit since the running deck on the GTR is short and extremely narrow. It is also extremely lightweight.
The GTR is great for small spaces and is easy to store, but it does require more maintenance that many other treadmills due to the need to frequently lubricate it to keep it running properly.
This treadmill does have some nice features you might not expect to find on a treadmill in this price range such as controls on both the front panel and the handlebars and 12 built in programs. However, you do need to keep in mind that this treadmill is is extremely limited in who can actually use this treadmill since it is not designed for daily use, has a limited top speed, and a somewhat lower users weight. This treadmill also has a space saving design and folds up for easy storage.
Probably, the most worrisome thing about this treadmill is that it does not come with any warranty whatsoever.
Table of Contents
The Confidence GTR Power Pro Motorized Electric Treadmill is really a basic treadmill that it keeps its price low by not providing any comfort features. There is no cushioning on the deck, no fans, and no water bottle holders. It is just the treadmill and nothing else.
The motor clocks in at only 1.5-horsepower, which is expected given the low price of the Confidence. Therefore, while walkers and joggers will be able to get a good workout in, those who are looking for a treadmill to run on may want to look elsewhere, despite the treadmill being able to reach speeds of up to 7.5 MPH. However, thankfully, the motor isn’t very loud, making the Confidence a good choice for apartment dwellers.
The Confidence GTR comes with 12 built in programs.
The top speed that this treadmill will go is 7.5 miles an hour. Most treadmills offer users the optimal speeds of 10 or 12 mph.
Although the incline on this treadmill requires you to manually adjust it, the fact that it offers any kind of incline for a treadmill in this price range is a bit impressive and there are 3 incline levels for you to choose from.
This treadmill is recommended for people weighing 250 pounds or less, which limits the number of people who are able to use this treadmill to get fit or loose weight.
The treadbelt measures just 38.5” x 14”; therefore, while this might suffice for people who are just a little over 6′ and under, very tall individuals are likely to feel confined as they work out, especially if they have long legs – i.e. a long stride. Being a budget treadmill, there is no cushioning system; however, the impact felt on the joints isn’t that great, particularly when you consider that you won’t be running on this treadmill.
The Confidence Power Plus Motorized Electric Treadmill just comes with a total of 3 programs, so you aren’t exactly spoiled for choice in this respect. However, the programs do a good job of challenging you and mixing up your workout, as the speed increases with each one.
As you might expect from a budget treadmill, the LED display is rather basic in its functionality. There is no graphical representation of your workout. However, the display provides you with feedback on distance, time, speed and calories burned.
The Confidence Power Plus Motorized Electric Treadmill is ideal for those who are low on space. First of all, it is very light for a treadmill, weighing just 53 pounds. It also features a folding design for easy storage. There are even transport wheels on the bottom of the machine.
Despite its low price, the Confidence Power Plus is still backed by a better than expected warranty. The motor is protected by a 5-year warranty and the frame by a 1-year warranty.

This is a minor complaint but we thought that it was worth mentioning. The Confidence automatically switches off after 30 minutes of activity. There are almost as many complaints regarding the Confidence GTR as there are things people like. Many users find the short and narrow deck as well as the lightweight of this treadmill makes it impossible to really run or jog on this treadmill.
Users also find that the HR monitor is extremely inaccurate and therefore isn’t worth including as part of the treadmill. Few Users also don’t like that this treadmill has no pause feature.
Users have also experienced specific problems with this treadmill including the fact that this treadmill begins making terrible noises after only a few months of use and that lubrication does not seem to help. Users have also experienced motor problems.
Anything Else You Should Know?
