The ProForm 6.0 ES comes with a greater than average number of workout programs in its price range. There are 22 built-in workout programs to choose from, all designed by a Certified Personal Trainer, which is always a plus.
To put it simply, the programs automatically adjust the resistance level so you don’t have to during your workout, and considering that there are 22 workout programs you are able to find at least a couple of programs that are in line with your fitness goals, whether that be weight loss or stamina improvement and so on.
Again, the 6.0 ES recumbent bike come with a good number of resistance levels. In total, there are 20 levels to choose from. There isn’t really much to say about these, apart from they work as expected and changing the level is a smooth, silent process thanks to the use of SMR (Silent Magnetic Resistance).
The flywheel only weighs 14 lbs, which is a bit of let-down, as we expected at least a 20-pound flywheel (the flywheel on the ProForm GT Indoor Cycle is even heavier), although this probably explains how ProForm are able to sell the bike for such a reasonable price considering the wide range of technological features. Having said that, though, the pedalling motion still feels smooth and the bike does not wobble from side to side, which are two of the most important things to look out for.
As the 6.0ES is a recumbent bike model and therefore utilizes a recumbent frame, the bike is engineered for comfort, particularly as the seat is oversized, well-padded, adjustable and comes with back support.
The pedals are also ergonomically designed for added comfort and come with adjustable straps to cater to all foot sizes, and the bike’s “step thru” frame is another welcome feature as it makes getting on and off the bike a breeze.
No surprises with the computer monitor, as it displays your speed, distance, time, calories burned, RPM, as well as heart rate via the dual grip EKG heart rate monitor, thereby allowing you to work out in your target heart rate zone.
The LCD display measures 4 inches and is therefore a little smaller than we would have liked; however, everything is still easy to read due to the bright, easy to read font and large viewing angle.
A compatible music port for an iPod, along with an Intermix Acoustics 2.0 Sound System, and iFit compatibility (the best online fitness tracking tool on the market) are also present.
Other features include transport wheels for easy relocation, a water bottle holder, and a maximum user weight capacity of 300 pounds.
The ProFrom 6.0ES is backed by a 5-year frame and 1-year parts and labor warranty.
ProForm 6.0 ES User Reviews
The reviews for the ProForm 6.0 ES recumbent bike have been good. Users point to the bike’s very quiet operation, high level of comfort, sturdiness, and workout effectiveness as its main strengths. The ease of the assembly process seems to have gained a mixed response, one user feels that the console is hard to read, and another complained about the seat’s angle.

There is very little to complain about, although we will say that the flywheel is a tad on the light side, even though this doesn’t seem to work against the bike, and would’ve appreciated a longer warranty on the frame.
Anything Else You Should Know?
At this price, you can’t go wrong with the ProForm 6.0 ES. While the bike does suffer from a couple of minor issues, it comes packed with a range of technological features, is comfortable to use, well-constrcuted, and scores highly in workout effectiveness.
