For those looking for an elliptical trainer that focuses on providing users with an effective workout, rather than being packed with bells and whistles, the Spirit Esprit EL-355 20-Inch Stride Elliptical might fit the bill.

The El-355 does a good job of challenging you and providing variety to your workout, thanks to the 16 levels of resistance and 9 preset programs, including two programs devoted to working out at a heart rate specified by you.
It is nice to see that the Spirit Esprit EL-355 is able to handle a 20-inch stride, meaning that it’s suitable for even the tallest of individuals to work out on. It can also handle a user capacity weight of 325 pounds.
The durable concave wheels are mounted on dual chrome rails, which partly explains why this machine has such a smooth motion. However, the primary reason for the smooth, fluid motion is down to the heavy duty 21 lb flywheel, which features sealed commercial bearings and premium bushings.
We love the cooling fan which does an excellent job of shooting out a cool stream of air to help you stay motivated and keep going during a tough workout.
Not much to report, here. The oversized, easy-to-read LCD display on the Spirit Esprit EL-355 monitors everything you would expect it to, such as time, distance, calories burned and pulse, through the pulse grip sensors that are mounted on the handlebars. There is also an audio jack and speakers for your MP3 player that are mounted on the console, which we felt was a nice touch – particularly for those who love to listen to music as they exercise.
Assembling this beast of a machine (175 pounds) is easier than you might think, despite the large size. This is thanks to the clear, detailed instructions and images provided in the instruction manual. It should take one person no longer than 45-60 minutes to have it up and running.
The Spirit Esprit EL-355 comes with a lifetime frame and brake and 1 year on parts and in-home labor warranty.
65.4 x 22.4 x 62.6 inches
The Spirit EL-355 has received favorable reviews, with users stating that the elliptical motion is very smooth and quiet, the machine is very sturdy when in operation, and the construction quality feels good. However, some users have stated that the assembly process can get a little confusing, although this is subjective.

Any complaints ?
Besides the assembly process, the only other complaint is how much the machine weighs – 175 pounds when boxed. Therefore, you will most probably need another person to help you move it to the location of where you are planning to use it.
Anything Else You Should Know?
There isn’t much to add. All you need to know is that the Spirit Esprit EL-355 is a quality elliptical trainer and is able to deliver an effective workout thanks to its dual training capabilities, and can rival higher priced machines.
