The Stamina 4545 Magnetic Fusion Recumbent Bike falls into the low priced exercise bike category. However, that isn’t to say that it is a bad piece of equipment.
It has many things going for it, such as the one touch monitor control system, and has been equipped with a couple of features that are usually only found on more expensive exercise bikes, such as the heart rate monitor. But can you do better in this price range? Or is the Stamina 4545 the best the industry has to offer for the price?
Magnetic Resistance System
Table of Contents
This bike by Stamina user a magnetic resistance system, or in other words, resistance is changed via the electromagnet that can be found in the flywheel casing. Fingertip tension control is used to changed the resistance level, which is beneficial as there is no need for you to uncomfortably lean forward to change the resistance as you are usually required to do on other exercise bikes.
There is nothing more annoying than spending hours choosing the right exercise bike only to find that the seat cannot be adjusted as much as you need it to be. Fortunately, the seat on the Stamina 4545 is fully adjustable, making it easy to find a comfortable fit and the best angle for pedaling, whatever your height or weight may be.
One more thing to add is that, as there is no chain between the front flywheel and the seat, there is nothing that can tangle your feet when you are mounting or dismounting the bike, which is a nice touch.
The Stamina 4545 is one of the lighter exercise bikes on the market, weighing just 80 pounds. However, that isn’t to say that it isn’t stable, because it certainly is, and despite the light weight, it still manages to have a maximum user capacity of 300 lbs.
There are also wheels on the bottom of the bike for easy transportability when the time comes to put it into storage.
One Touch Monitor Control System
The built-in InTouch monitor is able to provide you feedback on distance, speed, time and calories burned. It features a one-button control system, so there is no need for you to aimlessly fiddle about as you try and see your stats when working out.
Heart Rate Monitor
Surprisingly, the Stamina 4545 comes with a heart rate monitor, which is a rare thing to see in this price range. While it is not as accurate as belt-mounted systems, it still provides a high level of accuracy, and most importantly, allows you to work out within your target heart rate zone.
This bike comes with a 3-year frame and 90-day parts warranty.
53 x 24 x 44 inches
The Stamina 4545 has been met with favorable reviews, with users noting that the quietness of the bike when in operation, the sturdiness of the bike, as well as the comfort and smooth pedaling motion are its main selling points. However, some users have also stated that the heartbeat sensor has been poorly designed.

Average Rating: 4.1
The only thing to complain about is the fact that the heartbeat sensor only works if your hands are kept on the handlebars at all times. For example, if you take your hands off the bike to grab the remote and change the channel, your pulse isn’t picked up. However, this is a minor inconvenience and shouldn’t prove to be much of a problem for most, especially as heartbeat sensors are a rarity in this price range.
Anything Else You Should Know?
There isn’t much to add. All you need to know is that, for the price, the Stamina 4545 exceeds expectations. It is durable, comfortable, comes equipped with some nice technological features, and can be used by almost anyone thanks to its high maximum user weight capacity.
While you can find exercise bikes that feature built-in fans and more varied monitor readings for a couple of hundred dollars more, those on a budget would struggle to find a better bike for the price.
