CycleOps SuperMagneto Pro Trainer Review / CycleOps SuperMagneto Pro Trainer
The CycleOps SuperMagneto Pro Trainer is an excellent alternative to fluid trainers and is CycleOps most versatile trainer, as you are able to adjust the resistance curves to fit a conditioned or less physically fit rider, and modify the curves to fit a small or big rider.
CycleOps unique Flexible Power Curve Technology, which can also be found on the CycleOps 100 Pro Indoor Cycle and is the product of engineers, scientists, coaches and athletes working together on the SuperMagneto’s design, is the main talking point of this trainer, as changing the location of the four resistance magnets results in four distinctly different power curves:
Easy – Best for warming up before a workout
Road – Mimics road conditions due to offering a sharper resistance curve
Interval – Intervals are harder and recovery easier due to a sharp contrast in resistance between low and high speeds
Mountain- Simulates riding a World Cup course with the resistance of steep, high wattage climbs followed by the skill-focused recovery of a descent
The SuperMagneto Pro Trainer uses a single-sided Pro Series frame, making it easy to install and remove a bike; comes with the Realrides Race Day DVD; features a foldable design for easy storage; and is backed by CycleOps famous lifetime warranty.
