This exercise bike has a heavy duty steel frame, 3 piece crank system and a V-belt drive, fixed handlebars, and adjustable seat. It features non-adjustable handlebars with the heart monitor built into the handlebars. Exerpeutic GOLD 500 also has magnetic resistance and folds up and has transportation wheels for easy storage. Level one and two feels like there is little or no resistance at all, while levels 4-6 makes all but the fitness people work up a good sweat. Levels 7 and 8 are like riding up a long steep hill for many users although some reviewers state that these levels did not make them work out long enough.
This exercise bike has a computer/console with an LCD display that shows you calories burned, distance, time, speed, scan, pulse and odometer. The monitor sits between the handlebars of the bike where it easy to see and touch. The computer uses 2AA batteries. You can also set the computer so that it displays any one of the displays.
For An exercise bike this Exercise bike is pretty comfortable. It is stable and won’t wobble when you ride it, It has a large seat cushion that is more comfortable than the smaller seat cushions on most exercise bike. It has comfortable over sized pedals made of hard plastic. There is also a holder on the handlebars for a cell phone or a remote. To add to the comfort, this exercise bike is extremely quiet allowing users to listen to music or television when exercising.

This exercise bike is designed for people weighing 400 pounds or less, making it one of the highest weight capacity pieces of exercise equipment on the market.
This exercise bike comes with a 1 year warranty on the frame and 90 days on parts. While this warranty is fair considering the price of the bike, we would still like to see a longer warranty, showing that the company stands behind their product.
