Gold’s Gym Trainer 110 Review

The Gold’s Gym Trainer 110 is designed for the budget-conscious consumer who is looking for an effective workout experience. Therefore, while it doesn’t come with a lot of technological features, what it does do is offer a good workout.

The first thing to mention is that the cycling experience is an enjoyable one. This is because the pedaling motion feels both smooth and natural. While we wouldn’t go as far as to say that it truly mimics a road bike feel, it’s still better than most other exercise bikes in this price range.

There are just two workouts to choose from, but they have both been designed by a Certified Personal Trainer so you know that they are effective. To put it simply each workout automatically adjusts the resistance of the bike to maximize your fat and calorie burn.

There is also a Target Pacer feature that tells you when you need to speed up and push yourself or slow down in order to reach your weight-loss goals. As the resistance is adjustable, you can also opt to disregard the built-in programs and customize your training to your liking.

The LCD display is easy to read and displays speed, distance, time, calories burned, and your pulse. However, the pulse reading, which is obtained by placing your thumb on the heart rate sensor found on the console, is somewhat off, although this is pretty much always the case with budget exercise bikes, so we can’t fault the Gold’s Gym Trainer 110 too much for this.

While budget exercise bikes tend to be a bit hit and miss (well mostly miss, actually) when it comes to comfort, the Gold’s Gym Trainer surprised us. The seat is oversized, well-padded and also adjustable, so it should be easy to get into a comfortable riding position, regardless of your height or weight. The handlebars have also been designed to prevent any strain felt in your hands, wrists and arms, allowing you to work out for longer periods of time.

The 110 Trainer features built-in transport wheels, allowing you to move the bike from room to room easily, and is suitable for users up to 250 pounds.

Gold’s Gym Trainer 110 User Reviews

Users say that the bike offers good value for money: “works well for the money,” “good value for money,” is “comfortable and straight forward” to use, and that it “operates smoothly.” The bike also appears to be “”very quiet” and the “resistance is great.”

However, one user found an issue with the handlebars when working out for long periods of time, and another with the heart rate monitor.
