LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i Folding Treadmill Review
The LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i Folding Treadmill has received rave reviews from both users and publications alike. Primarily because of its reliability and effectiveness, but also thanks to the plethora of built-in features (in contrast to the LifeSpan Fitness TR100) and free membership to the LifeSpan Fitness Club.
Typically, you have to fork out around $2,500 to get a treadmill that is suitable for running, as lower priced machines tend to be neither powerful nor sturdy enough to handle runners. But is the TR3000i is the exception?
LifeSpan Fitness Club
One of our favorite aspects of the LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i, and the reason why this treadmill is so popular, is partly due to the free membership to the LifeSpan Fitness Club upon purchase of this machine.
The membership includes access to an interactive online program where you can record your workout, track your progress and create customized workout programs which have been designed by fitness professionals.
While membership to the LifeSpan Fitness Club may not be the same as having a personal trainer to motivate you, it still does a fine job of helping you achieve your goals.
The treadbelt measures 20” x 56.” While there may be treadmills on the market that are equipped with longer treadbelts for the price, such as the Smooth Fitness 6.75, the running surface should be long and wide enough for even the tallest of runners to exercise on.
The LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i Folding Treadmill features a 2.75 horsepower continuous motor which does an excellent job of providing a smooth workout for both runners and larger users.
The TR3000i comes equipped with a good variety of workout programs, including a weight management program, two My Zone heart rate programs, two custom user programs, five speed programs and six incline programs. Many of these programs are grouped by exercise motivation, so you can easily and quickly choose a workout that is right for you. These include sports training, healthy living, weight loss and heart rate control.
The easy-to-read, multicolored LCD console tracks incline, speed, heart rate, steps, distance, calories burned and time.
Built-in speakers and the ability to connect your iPod to these speakers are included. While the TR3000i isn’t going to win any awards for its sound quality, we felt that this was a nice touch, particularly as many people prefer to work out along to music without the hassle of earphones popping out and getting in the way.
While this treadmill is heavy – 232 lbs – the folding design is useful for those who have limited floor space, particularly as it only takes a few seconds to fold the treadmill down and store it away.
The LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i comes with a lifetime frame and motor, 5 years parts and 1 year labor warranty.

LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i Review by User
The TR3000i has been met with very positive reviews, with users praising the minimal noise heard when in operation, the smooth running of the motor, as well as the range of workout programs. However, some have complained that the user interface can be a bit confusing at times.

There isn’t much to complain about. If we were being picky we would say that it is a very heavy piece of equipment – although this adds to its stability – so make sure that you don’t plan on changing its location once set up. Also, there are many buttons to control all the programming options, which can be overwhelming at times; then again, it’s better to have to spend a bit of time learning how to use all of these features than not having them at all.
Anything Else You Should Know?
There isn’t much to add. All you need to know is this a very high quality treadmill at a reasonable price. The fact that users – both walkers and runners – have rated the LifeSpan Fitness TR3000i so highly attests to its quality, comfort, stability, ease of use and built-in features.
