LifeSpan TR1200-DT3 Under Desk Treadmill Review

[wptab name=’Our Analysis’]

The LifeSpan TR1200-DT3 Under Desk Treadmill is a desk treadmill, ideal for those who are looking to get a workout in at work. It is designed to work with the majority of standing desks and therefore should work with your existing desk. All you have to do is place the console in a convenient location on your desk and plug the opposite end into the front of the treadmill.

As the TR1200-DT3 is designed for walking on, the 2.25 HP High Torque Continuous Motor isn’t particularly powerful and therefore can only reach a maximum speed of 4 MPH (minimum speed of 0.4 MPH), just like the LifeSpan TR800-DT.

Exercising on the treadmill is an enjoyable experience, with credit going to the 6 independent shocks which hold the walking deck above the frame. This absorbs impact when your foot strikes the belt and so puts less strain on your joints. The deck measures 20 x 56 inches, which means that taller individuals with long strides won’t feel confined as they workout either.

While a shock absorption system isn’t generally needed for walking treadmills, it’s still nice to see this feature included. It’s also worth noting that due to the shock absorption system, the Lifespan TR1200-DT3 is the quietest desk treadmill on the market – clearly very important for the machine’s target market.

The computer console includes buttons to start and stop the belt, control the speed, and sync the Bluetooth-enabled console to a computer in order to automatically track results and sync data with a LifeSpan Fitness Club account. You can also view the walking time, calories burned, steps taken, walking belt speed and distance traveled.

However, our one complaint is how the speed is adjusted in 0.1 mph increments, so getting up to 1 mph takes 10 touches of a button.

The final thing to mention is an innovative safety feature. When you step off the treadmill during your workout because you need to take a call or for whatever other reason, the belt automatically stops after 20 seconds of inactivity.

The TR1200-DT3 has a maximum user weight capacity of 350 pounds, is backed by a lifetime frame, 3-year motor, 2-year parts and 1-year labor warranty, and comes with one rear USB port for charging portable devices.

The LifeSpan TR1200-DT3 currently has an average rating of 4.6 out of 5.0

According to users, the Lifespan is “very quiet”, so much so that none of my clients has noticed that I’m on a treadmill,” as one user puts it.” Users also feel that the TR1200-DT3 is very well constructed: “solidly built,” “good quality construction,” “super solid,” and love the fact that they can exercise at work.

However, there is one complaint that is mentioned by a lot of users.
