LifeSpan TR1200i Folding Treadmill Review

The LifeSpan TR1200i Folding Treadmill comes with a large running surface at 20″ x 56″. The LifeSpan are renown for manufacturing high quality treadmills that are packed with technological features at affordable prices. One of their most popular treadmills is the LifeSpan TR1200i Folding Treadmill, largely in part due to the fact that it is a durable machine that has been manufactured with quality components, but also thanks to the inclusion of a feature that enables you to accurately track your results and monitor your progress.

Lifespan Fitness Club

Upon purchase of the LifeSpan TR1200i you receive a free membership to the LifeSpan Fitness Club, which is an online resource where you can set-up numerous exercise regimens, track your progress and read up on invaluable information on health and fitness.

The process of how it works is very simple. All you have to do is insert a USB device into the console before you start working out, when finished, you take it out to find that all your workout stats have been recorded. You can then tailor a workout which is in line with your fitness goals.

MotorLifeSpan TR 1200i Folding Treadmill Review

The 2.5 HP continuous motor is not the most powerful of motors that can be found at this price, although it can comfortably handle both walkers and joggers. However, it may be unable to support the weight of individuals who are obese.

The motor is both smooth and quiet when in operation, and you can expect it to last for many years to come thanks to the 2.5” rollers in the front and 2” rollers in the rear – although this isn’t too much of a concern as the motor has a lifetime warranty.

The 20” x 56” treadbelt is in line with other treadmills that can be found in this price range, such as the LifeSpan TR1200-DT3. It is wide enough and large enough to ensure that you can comfortably jog and not feel confined as you do so. However, for those of you who are extremely tall, you may be better suited to a treadmill with a 60” running surface.

ProgramsLifeSpan TR 1200i Folding Treadmill Review

The LifeSpan TR1200i comes equipped with 17 programs which are categorized to be in line with your fitness goals, including weight management, healthy living and sports training, with each having its own speed and incline levels.

These programs have been designed by exercise physiologists to ensure that you are working out in a way that is both safe and effective. There are also two user defined and two heart rate control programs.

The speakers that come with the TR2000i do not have spectacular sound quality, but the quality is higher than those that can be found on many other treadmills in this price range. You also have the ability to plug in your MP3 player thanks to the built-in headphone jack.

The TR1200i comes with a lifetime frame and motor, 3 year parts and 1 year labor warranty.

User ReviewsLifeSpan TR 1200i Folding Treadmill Review

With an average rating of 4.3 from over 125 reviews, it’s clear that the TR1200i is considered to be a high quality treadmill, with special mention going to the quietness of the machine when in operation, the free membership to the Lifespan Fitness Club, the range of workout programs, as well as the sturdiness of the machine. However, a few users have complained about the sound quality of the speakers, although we feel that they sound just fine.

Any Complaints?

Besides the sound quality of the speakers, there isn’t much to complain about. A built-in fan would have been a nice touch, although not too many users are usually too concerned about this feature, with many typically labeling the fans found on treadmills a novelty.  The treadmill weighs 204 pounds, and while there are certainly many heavier treadmills on the market, you may have a hard time moving this piece of equipment.

Anything Else You Should Know?

There isn’t much to add. All you need to know is that for the price, you are getting a treadmill that is not only durable, but also quiet, and a deck that is easy on the joints. In addition, you also have the ability to track and manage your workouts online, making the LifeSpan TR1200i one of the best value treadmills on the market.
