[wptab name=’Our Analysis’]

The Livestrong Fitness LS15.0T is one of the most feature packed treadmills on the market, coming with 11 built-in workout programs, a top speed of 12 mph and incline level of 15%, a MaxComfort cushioning system, a ten-inch HD touchscreen display, Surround Sound speakers, a free wireless Polar HR monitor, and a built-in fan, to name just a few.

Due to coming with a 3.0 CHP drive motor, the LS15.0T is suitable for walking, jogging, running and sprinting on, and therefore wouldn’t be out of place in a health club, particularly when you take into account its lifetime warranty, meaning that it take take a lot of daily abuse.

Just like the Livestrong LS Pro 1, the motor can reach a maximum speed of 12 mph (minimum of 0.5 mph) and the speed can be adjusted at a touch of a button. Even though the motor is powerful it is still quiet in operation, with the sound being comparable to a low-medium hum.

The Livestrong Fitness LS15.0T has 11 built-in workout programs to choose from. These include Manual, Rolling Hills, Fat Burn, Target Heart Rate, 5K Run, Fitness Test (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, PEB, Gerkin). Therefore, whatever your workout goals may be, you should be able to find at least one program that is in-line with these goals. If not, you can still tailor a workout exactly to your specifications, thanks to the highly customizable manual program.

The treadbelt (or running deck) measures 20 x 60 inches, allowing even very tall users with long strides not to feel confined as they exercise. Our favorite aspect of the treadbelt is its MaxComfort cushioning system, as this is very effective in reducing the impact felt on the joints as you work out. It’s also worth noting that the incline of the treadbelt can be adjusted by up to 15%, providing you with a greater challenge if needed.

Computer ConsoleLivestrong Fitness LS15.0T Computer Console

One of the best aspects of the Livestrong is its computer console, mainly because of its ease of use, but also because of its attractive design and easy to read display.

The LCD display is extra-wide, measuring 10 inches, and a touchscreen model. All the usual feedback information is included, such as distance, speed, calories burned, time, incline level, pulse and so on.

However, out favorite aspect is how your pulse is recorded. You have two options: either use the contact heart rate grips, or the included wireless Polar HR monitor for an even more accurate reading. There is even an integrated fitness journal which provides a recap of your workouts on screen.

Other Features

Other features of the Livestrong Fitness LS15.0T include an adjustable COOLfit fitness fan. While this fan isn’t very powerful, it is more effective than other fans found on treadmills. The same applies to the Sonic Surround speakers with MP3/iPod compatibility; the sound quality may not be the best but we’ve certainly heard worse from treadmill speakers. There is also ample storage for a water bottle, a tablet, book, etc.

The LS15.0T is backed by a lifetime frame and motor, 5-year parts, and 2-year labor warranty.

Livestrong Fitness LS15.0T User ReviewsLivestrong Fitness LS15.0T User Reviews

There are many positives to the LS15.0T, according to users. Users say that the treadmill is well-constructed and “feels almost as solid as gym quality,” and that the incline level and heart monitor work just as advertised, for starters.

However, perhaps more importantly, users think that Livestrong’s customer service is excellent. Take one person, for example, who ran into an issue, called up LiveStrong, who then shipped out a new part immediately and even offered to send someone round to fix the issue for free.

You should also keep in mind that, according to users, something must be done to the belt and running surface, which can get annoying, and the treadmill can not be set to maintain a target heart rate range.

Any Complaints?

The only things to complain about are minor and subjective. As mentioned, the fan could be more powerful and the sound quality of the speakers could be better. Some may feel that the computer console is too big, but we appreciate the bigger size, as it makes everything easier to read as you work out.

Anything Else You Should Know?

The LS15.0T has a maximum user weight capacity of 350 pounds. Besides this, all you need to know is that this treadmill is a good choice for anyone who wants a gym-quality, feature packed model at an affordable price.

While it does suffer from a couple of minor issues, these aren’t enough to put us off, and we really do appreciate just how good Livestrong’s customer service is and how they stand by their products, particularly as good customer service is starting to become a rarity in the exercise equipment industry.
