The Precor 9.27 Treadmill with Ground Effects Technology is considered to be Precor’s residential model. While it does not compare to the 9.3 series, it is still a very high quality machine, and you are getting the quality that Precor have become known for at a reasonable price.

Precor are able to offer such great value because the 9.27 is manufactured abroad and does not use the exact same components found in their commercial models.

While there are treadmills, such as the Precor 9.33, that are wider than the 9.27, the 20” x 57” treadbelt is enough to handle the strides of runners comfortable, whatever their height may be.

The 3.0 continuous duty horsepower motor is powerful enough to accommodate the needs of runners, despite the fact that Precor do not use a commercial grade motor in this model. However, the motor is still smooth and quiet, even when operating at its maximum speed of 12 mph.

Suspension System

The Multi-Zone Suspension System is able to measure your foot speed and recalibrate the belt speed, eliminating joint and shoe discomfort as you work out. It works by reading the energy spike of your foot as your heel strikes the treadmill, which then allows small belt-speed adjustments to be made as you exercise. This promotes a more energetic, aerobic workout by ensuring that your stride remains fluid.

The Precor 9.27 Treadmill comes equipped with 10 preset programs, including manual, weight loss, heart rate, fat burner, 5K Track, 10K Track, interval, manual and 2 walking programs. You also have the ability to store 2 user IDs so you can begin your workout at a touch of a button.

Wireless Heart Rate Control

One of our favorite aspects of this treadmill is the wireless heart rate control, which works to keep you in your cardio, fat burn or peak cardio zone by tracking your heart rate. This is beneficial because it is an accurate and intuitive way to optimize your workout.

DisplayPrecor 9.27 Computer Monitor

The easy-to-read display tracks everything you would expect it to, including time, program profile, pace, incline, heart rate, distance and calories burned.

The Precor 9.27 Treadmill comes with a lifetime frame and weld, 5 years parts and 1 year labor warranty. While it is true that other manufacturers offer better warranties, they don’t for under $2,000, and Precor are known for building low maintenance and durable exercise equipment.

Any Complaints?

We are struggling to find anything to complain about. One minor inconvenience is the fact that the treadmill stops rather abruptly after a program has been completed. It would have been nice if it came to a gradual stop, but this shouldn’t be too much of a concern for most people.

Anything Else You Should Know?

There isn’t much to add. All you need to know is that Precor’s treadmills typically sell for as high as $5,000, but with the Precor 9.27 you are getting the quality Precor have become known for at a fraction of the price.
