Stamina 1300 Magnetic Resistance Upright Bike Review

[wptab name=’Our Analysis’]

It is well-known that exercise bikes offer an effective low-impact workout, but many tend to be too expensive for the average individual, resulting in a person having no other option but to purchase a gym membership. Fortunately, the Stamina 1300 (along with the Stamina 5325) is very reasonably priced, and although not coming packed with a range of technological features, it can offer users the ability to effectively work out in the comfort of their home.

Magnetic Resistance

When you are working out you need to be able to switch between resistance levels to keep your workout varied and challenging. Thankfully, the Stamina 1300 is equipped with a magnetic resistance system that is able to deliver a quiet, smooth workout, although users in excellent shape may find the highest resistance setting to not be challenging enough.

Resistance can be changed through the tension dial and, as mentioned, the bike is quiet enough to not wake up the neighbors or disturb the kids as you exercise.

Computer Monitor

The large, easy-to-read computer monitor tracks everything you would want to know as you work out, including calories burned, time, distance and speed.

The Stamina 1300 comes with what is known as “one-button control,” which makes it easy to switch between the stats as you work out.

Very Light & Compact

The Stamina 1300 is one of the lightest bikes on the market, weighing just 48 pounds. However, despite its lightness, a maximum user weight capacity of 250 lbs is supported.

High Level of Comfort

Typically, one of the worse aspects of exercise bikes is the seats. The last thing you want to happen is to purchase a bike that comes with a hard, uncomfortable seat, as in many cases this can render the bike useless. Sure, you could purchase a new seat, but why should you when you have already paid hundreds and, sometimes thousands, of dollars on exercise equipment? Fortunately, the oversized, cushioned, wrapped vinyl seat is comfortable as well as adjustable, allowing you to get into a comfortable riding position.

This bike comes with a 1 year frame and 90-day parts warranty.

Any Complaints?

Besides the exclusion of a heart rate monitor, there is little to complain about. However, on the whole, while the readings on the monitor are accurate, at times, the calorie count seems to be a little off.

Anything Else You Should Know?

All you need to know is that the Stamina 1300 is an excellent exercise bike for the price. While it does not come packed with a range of technological features, it achieves what it was designed to do – let users enjoy a low-impact workout which can improve and maintain their fitness.
