The Xterra 2.5r Recumbent Bike (22 pound) is a bike that is well designed for people of various fitness levels. The construction quality of the frame is good, and the addition of a comfortably padded seat and back are worth noting. The big selling point of this recumbent bike however, is the 22 pound flywheel which is far heavier than you will find on most exercise bikes designed for either home or commercial use. This heavy duty flywheel seems to add to the overall durability of this bike which adds value for those investing hundreds of dollars into a single piece of home gym equipment.


This is an extremely comfortable exercise bike. The easy walk through design makes mounting and dismounting this bike extremely easy even for people with balance problems or joint issues. The large nicely padded seat and back helps reduce stress for people who suffer from back issues and the ability to connect to that MP3 player allows people to get into a zone when exercising.

Some reviews state that this bike has 16 resistance levels while the majority of reviews state there are 24 resistance levels. In either case there is enough resistance levels to make this bike useful even when your fitness levels increase.
